14th Cinéfeel Movie Show at Amity University Jaipur French Film: le huitième jour

On 30th October, Amity School of Languages organized its 14th Cinéfeel Movie Show wherein the French movie “Le Huitième Jour” was projected. The movie was subtitled in English as well.

The chief guest for the event was Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University Jaipur, Maj. Gen. B.N.Kaul. The film presentation and the anchoring part were done by Meenakshi and Ankita Mukherjee respectively. The technical assistance was provided by Akhil Bojedla.

The show tuned out to be successful with the presence of around 385 students from the university.

The social concern of “Specially abled children” was put forward by the movie. The story expressed the ups and downs in the lives of two men George and Harry. It also revealed the aspect of enjoying every moment of the life. The mindset of the society about the differently abled people was portrayed in the film which was appreciated by the student at Amity University Jaipur.

Amity University Jaipur organized “Run for Unity” on National Unity Day

Amity University Jaipur organized “Run for Unity” in the morning at 07:30 AM as part of  a series of events planned for October 31, the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel,popularly known as “Iron man of India” and to mark the day as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) as a tribute to India’s First Home Minister.

A total of 600 students, faculty and admin staff, voluntarily participated in the “Run for Unity” carrying   and chanting Unityslogans like “Anekta main Ekta”, “One Team One Dream” along with the banner.

The run was flagged off by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Mr. S K Dube and overall coordinated by Brig. G S Rathore, OSD, ably assisted by Col. Prahalad,Dir. Hostel.

 The Vice Chancellor chaired the pledge taking ceremony, administered by Pro Vice Chancellor for the non teaching officers of the University. Institutions and Departments administered oath at their respective institution/department/class both in Hindi and English and was chaired by the respective Head of Institution. Students were administered the pledge by the faculty concerned in the classes.

A symposium on the Work, Life and contributions towards unity, safety and security of the Nation by Sardar Patel was organized. It was attended by all members of faculty and staff of the university. Prof. (Dr.) V. S. Dahima, Director, Amity Business School addressed the gathering and highlighted the contributions of SardarPatel. Presentations were also made by the students.
