Amity University Jaipur organized a Blood Donation Camp

Amity University Jaipur organized a Blood Donation Camp on Friday (26 September 2014) at the university campus in collaboration with Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital and Lions Club International.
On this occasion Prof. S. K. Dube, Vice Chancellor of the university told that it is a regular activity by students of Amity. They are always eager to help the society in one or other way. Last year our volunteer students donated 257 units of blood. This time 192 volunteers donated blood.
Experienced doctors of Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital along with their team collected blood carefully and deposited in the blood bank. Lions club international, Lions club Metro and Rajdhani served refreshments to the blood donors. Brig. G. S. Rathore, officiating dean student’s welfare, expressed his gratitude to the team of SDMH, Lions club and all the blood donor volunteer students, faculty and staff members. He also appreciated efforts of Mr. Govind Sharma, Lions Club, Mr. Sunil Kumar, SDMH, Dr. Vinod Singh Gour, Ms. Pallavi Sharma and administration staff team, MI room team and hostel staff in successful organization of Blood donation Camp.

Just a Minute ASCENT

Amity System of Communication enhancement and training (ASCENT) aiming at developing spontaneity and  reflexive response in  spoken and listening  English organized “JUST a Minute” -an activity for exploring extempore potential among Amity University Jaipur students . The judging criteria included range of vocabulary, coherence and epigrammatic usage within time framework.

Out of twenty four students participants six cleared the screening round while …Jaikishan Sharma won the first position. The participants were given one minute time to choose and prepare the speech from prolific list of topics. While congratulating the winners Mrs. Jasbeen Chawla briefed that such activities are very much indispensable for attracting corporate opportunities and henceforth will remain an integral part of the department’s curriculum.
